Hello everyone. Is there a way to add a note on any published file? I tried to edit the links field in the note entity and I could not, (I have admin permissions)

Thanks for your question! From a philosophical standpoint, currently Notes are enabled on the things you're tracking (like Shots and Assets) and the resultant media you're reviewing for those things (the Versions). Published Files are more supportive of those things (the workfiles that roll up into these other entities).
That being said, not everything is set in stone. Could you tell us a little bit about your use case involving taking Notes against Published Files?

Thanks for your comment, actually It was a misunderstanding from my part about what the artists want to review. however, why can we not edit some fields?

If you open a support ticket with a list of the entities and fields in question along with the permission groups who cannot edit them, we should be able to examine the permissions to determine why.
