Is it possible to set up notifications for individuals based on a specific status being set? That is, instead of "the status has changed"?
Desired result: our art director would like to receive a notification any time a version's status is set to "Art Director Review".
I can certainly set up a filter page but we're looking for a more active notification option.

Currently the notifications are not that granular such that you can specify which status changes spawn an email. I can certainly see how this would help users zero in on the most important notifications.
The filter page is a good alternative, though if they prefer to receive updates via email your art director could set up a filter rule in their email application to key off the contents of the email if it includes "Art Director Review." The rule could funnel those into a "For Review" folder, while the other Shotgun notifications go elsewhere.
