Need to be able to filter date fields by calendar day. For example if every Friday we do Actuals I'd like a filter to filter a specific date field by the day 'Friday'. The more people start using the time log tool the more valuable this filtering method will become.

Mike, can you explain this one a bit more? Are you talking about though the UI? Would this be something like "This Friday", for the Friday of the current calendar week?
This would be a UI filter. We have a few dozen entries in an entity and each entry in the entity has a date field with a different value. The date field contains the date the entry was made. I want to the narrow this list down to only entries who's date field lands on the calendar day Friday. Not necessarily this Friday or last Friday but any Friday.

Ah, gotcha. First time I've heard that idea, but does sound useful. I made ticket #6561 for this on our end.
