Dropdown lists to autocomplete with text typing

Hi,
I've had a couple of requests for the dropdown menus in shotgun to be enabled with auto-complete via text typing.
For example;
Scene and Shot dropdowns on the Scene detail page

Manage columns on any entity list - eg tasks menu
