It would be great if we could have the ability to add files to playlists. Currently, we are using the file entity to hold reference and concept art and there are times that we would like to be able to pull these up in RV along with our dailies.

Stephen Chiu Hey Kim, we've received this request in the past for this very use-case. It would be ideal to open up the Playlist feature to allow for linking in other entity types. We'll keep you posted on the developments and feasibility. This is being tracked using SG feature ticket #9398.
The current workaround is to treat those reference and concept art files as versions and differentiate them from your other versions using the Type field.
