OutBox in Shotgun

The new Inbox feature is great to reduce the clutter for artists and creates a nice solution to have notes in one place. However one feature I feel is missing is an Outbox option. This would be especially useful for supervisors or artists to check notes they may have sent to other artists. I often find myself looking at past notes I have given to check if they have been addressed or replied to. Having a outbox in shotgun, would finally allow me to abandon email clients for tracking of notes, and have shotgun as the turnkey solution.

cheers

Shervin, that's a great idea. Would this be similar to a "Sent" folder in your mail where you can see all the Notes you created? Would you want to see anything else there, such as...

    - Any Versions you created

    - Any Publishes you created

    - Anything else?

I've said it before but I'll repeat it!! It would be AWESOME to receive tickets through the inbox, and if there is going to be an "outbox"  it would be awesome to see sent tickets as well.

    Hey Ben,

Yea I think I would treat it the same way you have the Inbox setup. Artist can choose to see all, or just their versions, publishes, notes...etc.

One other feature I think would be useful is to tag the notes just like you would in a email application. Things, like important, To Do, Later, Done..etc. I think this will also help artists prioritize notes they may be getting. Almost like a rating system. Production could perhaps also tag notes they give to artists as a high priority note that they need to address asap.

    love shotgun

    I second the Outbox feature.
Our supervisors have started to ask for this. The tagging system to sort them out would be really handy too.
