Option to Sort Filter Panel items alphabetically

Currently, items in the Filter Panel are sorted by the number of occurrences. For instance, if you have these occurrences/statuses: 10 wtg, 5 ip, and 1 fin, they will be sorted

  1. wtg
  2. ip
  3. fin

We've gotten a request to be able to optionally sort alphabetically. In the example above:

  1. fin
  2. ip
  3. wtg

This is very useful with many elements in your filter.

Please "Like" this if you find that it is something that you would like us to look into.

I too would like this implemented, especially for when trying to find a specific sequence or scene in the filter tab. Right not they're sorted by amount of shots or sequences but this is pretty arbitrary and would make more sense for us if it was alphabetically/numerically.

    Thanks,

Would be nice to have similar sorting option for the Graph widget as well.

This is super annoying. Have to continually open up the "Show more" dropdown because the panel items are always out of order.

+1 Please add a way to sort alphabetically, or by different options.

desperately needed! for episodic television where we filter by episode number this is incredibly helpful

It would be nice to have a way to sort via a field and either acending or descending, similar to the way the api filtering works.

Similar to Ian's problem, we have episodes. our production folks would love , that when ever a filter where the episode name is used, for us to sort via Production Order, this is an int field on our episode entity.

currently the filter panel sorts via the amount of shots linked to it, and means that later episodes with more shots, drown out the episodes that are actually in play.

Can provide more examples if needed.

    Cheers

We have a similar issue as well.  We have a multi-entity field that holds episodes.  Currently, it is sorted by the number of times an episode shows up in the field.  However, we would like to sort the episodes in numerical order (01, 02, 03, etc.) in the Filter menu.  Since we are doing episodic television, there is concern that an older episode will eventually get buried.

Second the motion. We are using tags quite extensively and finding the tag needed is quite cumbersome when sorting by occurrences. Thank you.
