We have an existing feature where you can right-click on any cell--for example, the Status field for a Shot--and choose "View Status history..."
This is currently available when you're in List view, but unfortunately this isn't available when you're in other views in Shotgun, specifically detail pages. For example, you may want to right-click on the Status field in the upper portion of the Shot detail page. Please cast your "Me Too!" vote below if this is something you're interested in Shotgun!
