Gantt chart view for My Tasks

Some clients have requested a visual schedule view for artists on the My Tasks page, such as the Gantt view that is available on other Task pages. It is helpful for artists to be able to visualize how their Tasks fall in time, and the My Tasks page is meant to be a one-stop shop for the info the artists need, so it would make sense to incorporate a view like this. It is possible now to have a Tasks tab on the detail page that is shown for each Task, but this doesn't show all assigned Tasks together in a way that they can be compared as a group.

  Hi Tommy,

  We had a similar request and found this to be a decent workaround:

  - We created an alternate tasks view on the entity detailed page called 'My Tasks'.  In it, we filter for all tasks assigned to 'Current User'

  - Users can then select any task from their left hand pane and then change the view on the details pane to see a gant of all their currently assigned tasks.

  It's a bit clunky, but the ability to "hide" it nicely in the details dropdown menu prevents it from becoming overly confusing for our less-experienced users.

  We also made a similar alternate view called 'My Time Logs' to allow artists to quickly see details of their logs without having to leave the My Tasks page or sift through all of their tasks one by one.

  Hi Sean,

  Could you clarify your workaround for us?
  I tried what you mentioned in a number of ways but I can't quite recreate this.

  Are you working with the My Tasks page or the All Tasks page for each particular project?
  How are you getting "Current Person" to show up in the filter for the task assignee?

  Hey Sunil,

  We've added the alternate views on a shot entity page, which is then available through the My Tasks view when an artist selects one of their tasks.  We're trying to keep artists on the My Tasks page as much as possible, so it works well here.  For the task filter try Assigned To > Includes > Me (I had 'Current Person' above which was incorrect).  Looking at it again now, it only displays tasks related to the project selected, so it may not be a great solution if you have folks working on multiple projects at the same time.

  Thanks for the details. Yes, it seems this solution won't work out for us but it's an interesting idea.

  Would really like this feature to be implemented soon.

  Hi, guys,

  We have almost every person in the project asking for gantt view for their tasks right in the My Task View, so, +1 on that feature from me.

  All we need is a button to toggle gantt on/off. Please, see attached pic for UI suggestion.
