Drop down list for link fields to small entities

Currently we have to decide between the List and Entity field type when we create a new field and want to limit what the user selects as a value.

- A list generates a drop down menu the user can select from (great for a small number of items)
- A entity field auto completes what a user type (great for large number of items)

Right now we have to choose one or the other but it would be great if an entity field could also have a drop down list.

ie an entity containing less then 25 records is automatically displayed similar to how a list behaves right now. If there are more then 25 records the user would need to type part of the name.

  Definitely! It's #1 for me, just because it's the thing I have to work around most often. Our Status entity in particular is becoming more complicated to deal with, and it sounds a lot like what must have happened when sg_system_task_type became Pipeline Step(judging by "The back-story on..." section of https://support.shotgunsoftware.com/entries/209628-Using-Steps-vs-sg-system-task-type-in-your-Scripts).
