List fields in Shotgun are very useful, but sometimes you'd like to give users the ability to add to the list without having to configure the field. It would be cool if there was a way to include an "Add new" option at the end of the list, and could give users permission to use that to append a new item to the list values.
Of course we would need the ability to control (via permissions) who can see/use that option, as you may only want certain users to be able to add to the list.
