We've had some requests from clients who would like to be able to configure / format what information is displayed in emails (in particular for users who have "subscribe to notes in your inbox" in their email notifications checked)

an action statement for my customers that is included with the link to the page in Shotgun I want them to go to would greatly help the user experience for them.
We've heard some feedback that adding the Project (at the very least) to the subject would be extremely helpful. This would help clarify a great deal since many studios are working on multiple projects at once.
We will be using legacy notifications until we can at least configure the project to be in the email notification. In the subject would be preferred.
Any progress on this?
It will be cool if we can add custom html template in body message.

No movement on this one currently but if its becoming a high priority please do pop us a ticket and we'll see if we can establish a suitable workaround. I know that some of our clients have developed their own customised notification system so it may also be worth checking on our devlist (linked here).

Thanks Andrew. Just to reiterate, for us it's not really about having a configurable system - we'd just like the info that was in the legacy notifications to be included in the new format emails.
We would find very useful to be able to add the Project and the Sequence where the Shot belongs, for instance.

We want this too. Specifically for Tasks we want the notification email to include the type and name of the entity that the Task is on. We use Task Templates for almost all of our Tasks and as such getting update emails on Tasks doesn't help much currently as there's no way to tell what it actually relates to unless you click the link to open up Shotgun. The Legacy Notifications would include the that information in the email removing the need to open Shotgun.
Adding a +1 for this - the ability to customize the notification email layout similar to the legacy notification settings is what we're after. Short of that, including the Project in the subject or body would be helpful. Ideally though, we'd be able to add custom fields to the notification email. Our users are new to Shotgun and tend to get confused about what a Note relates to. Granted the information is a click away on the site, but I'd like to be able to show them more at a glance.

At least seeing the linked entity and project would be very helpful. Further possibilities of layout adjustments would be welcome
We've always had this issue with the email formats, it's been 4 years since this request was opened, I'm a bit surprised it hasn't been addressed already. Especially since they have a template for this customization in their legacy fields. Shotgun is so great for customized workflows, its unfortunate that the notifications are so limited.
