Pre-populate URL field for RV authentication

With the release of Shotgun and RV 6 you can now authenticate your RV license using your Shotgun login credentials. We've heard from some of our clients how they'd like to pre-populate the URL field of this authentication form to make logging in easy for new users. Currently the field will remember the last site you logged in through, however we've heard a number of use cases where clients have multiple sites, or need to regularly clear their cache for security reasons. Having a default URL populated would help cut down on login time and user error.

Would this sort of feature be useful for you? If so click the Me Too button and leave your use cases in the comments.

Follow-up question (from Alan T): how would you set the default URL ?   The easiest way I can think of is with an environment variable, would that work for you ?

We would need this mainly for new user logging in for the first time.

It will be very convenient if we can pre-configure it specially for the new users.

OK, great; I heard the same from a few others at SIGGRAPH.  We'll get this into the next RV release.

    Cheers,

    Alan
