We've heard from our clients that it would be useful to have an option to disable the creation of records through the UI, meaning the + Asset/Shot/Sequence/Version/Task could be greyed out. Some of our clients have custom pipelines setups that automatically create these records through API scripts, which allows for consistent values recorded into Shotgun. Vote here to show your support!

Alexey Borzykh As long as we don't have (yet) the option to setup rules ещ evaluate fields in new entity creation form, we have to use custom coded script with UI what has it. The idea here is to remove any GUI element in SG that could be used instead of the custom entity creation script.
Still, me personally would vote for an evaluation option for creation of the new item forms, instead of removing UI elements option.
