Hi,
this idea came up when talking to support about a recent regression regarding the subject line configuration of notification emails.
Said conversation can be viewed here:

To sum it up, i think the subject line can be more compact by either leaving out the entity type (Shot, Version,...) in general or at least making it optional. Right now the subject for a new version mail looks like this:
[New Version] Shot tor_001_040 Version comp_v012 (Person Matthias Wäsch)(wc02)
Note that the word 'Person' in front of the artist's name is the above-mentioned regression. I think that also the words 'Shot' and 'Version' prefixing the shot and version name are a bit unnecessary and i'd like to see this in a more condensed way like e.g. this:
[New Version] tor_001_040 comp_v012 (Matthias Wäsch)(wc02)
I can hardly think of a pipeline where you don't instantly recognise just by the name that it's a shot, a version or a person. So this info is somewhat redundant.
Maybe displaying the entity type can be mad an option in the Email site preferences?
Cheers,
Holger
