The Crew planning app is a great idea, but a bit lacking in execution. I guess there are some overlap with doing task assignments instead. But our producers really like the easier overview of the crew planning calendar. Two things that we really miss:

- The ability to view/export calculated days, minus the weekends.

- An option to hide specified days as weekend.

 

And I think I've reported this before, but the ability to create a new project from the calendar is also not working. Again, easy to override, but producers are really missing that option. This is only an issue when you work with many small projects, and need to be really quick and nimble. Otherwise you would ofcourse use task bookings as intended.

  I did a basic test that indicates to me that Crew Planning does not (yet :D) map onto Work Schedules:

  • I created a Vacation booking for myself in Crew Planning on day X
  • I created a task for myself that spanned day X
  • The task does not contain a grey block on day X (by contrast, if I mark myself as off on day X via Work Schedule, a grey block appears)

  The Crew Planning interface is great, so this integration would be a super useful feature.

  I agree that we'd like to have an option to omit the app booking across weekends (unless we actually want to work weekends). This would be a very helpful feature to have!
