It would be great to have extended asset thumbnails with mouse-over functionality to see different images while moving the mouse.

Philip Scadding Or maybe GIF support on thumbnails, might be distracting though, if they were all playing even if the mouse wasn't over.
Unfortunately our assets often use obscure codes as names and we rely on the thumbnails and additional field info to tell us what they are.
The thumbnails often are automatically generated as well, but picking an appropriate angle to view the asset through code is almost impossible.
It would be much better for us to generate a series of images, like a turn table, and have those display on hover.
