Have RV communicate with hosted Shotgun sites behind a proxy

None of the rv/shotgun integration, including "play in rv" will  currently work if the hosted Shotgun site is behind a proxy. Even "play in rv" just provides rv with a Version id and then RV must contact the server to get all the info for that version (including path to frames, etc), and that will not work if there is a proxy in the way.

It would be great if RV could communicate with Shotgun, even if its behind a proxy server.

    We can't load RV using the 'I have a Shotgun account' option because of the proxy restrictions.

    Hi Christopher,

    Good news! We've implemented this feature which will be released in the next version of RV. Stay tuned to this page and I'll let you know when it goes live. It allows you to pass your proxy info to RV so that the Shotgun integration will work again, even if your site is behind a proxy server.

    Hi Folks,

    Good news, with todays release of RV6.2.7 it is now possible to have RV communicate with Shotgun through a proxy server! Please see the proxy configuration section of the the below chapter from the user manual where it shows how to set this up
