task templates - adding a new task

when adding a new task to a task template I noticed it asks (insists) you select a project and then the task will show up in both the task template and whatever project you had selected

deleting this task in the proiect will also delete it from the task template

the existing task template tasks do NOT seem to have any project assigned however - they simply 'belong' to the teask template itself

I can create new ones with the same behaviour by duplicating an existing template task and editing it but this seems a bit clunky - id the new task widget for task templates really frucntioning correctly?

doesn't seem so....

This was a bug that has been fixed. When adding Tasks to TaskTemplates, you are no longer required to provide a Project. If you do provide a value for the Project column on a Task, it is ignored when applying the TaskTemplate.

in version 2.1 duplicating tasks within a template appears to be broken - the tasks do get duplicated but in the process they lose whatever 'magic' link they have that tells shotgun they are still associated with the task template - there doesn't seem to be any field or viewable mechanism that shows if a task is a template task or not (ie actually part of the template definition as opposed to having been created via a task template)
