Hi,
We have a whole load of tasks in a pipeline with various tasks under each pipeline step and we want to sort them by their dependency. Is this possible? And how would we be able to do this?

Ben Hadden Hi Nick,
Are you connecting your Tasks with dependencies and then inputting dates? If you're adding Start and End dates, then you should be able to sort by the End date field within each Pipeline Step to get the Tasks in the proper order. You can do this in one Pipeline Step column then propagate it to the rest by right-clicking the Pipeline Step header and choosing "Update all steps to match this layout". Let me know if it works!

Nick That does work when we've got the dates in. Unfortunately when we're setting the templates up and they don't have dates in we're unable to order them properly so it gets a bit confusing while we're designing the different setups.

It's a bit hacky, but you could add dates to your Task Templates and then setup the dependencies in the gantt view. Once you've settled on the right dependencies between Tasks, you can clear the dates in the Task Template Tasks and the dependencies will hold. Now you can assign Tasks Templates to your Shots/Assets with bre-baked dependencies. Let me know if that works (and if you have thoughts/ideas on how to make this process smoother!).
