Create New Tab: Filtering Options are not the same as in Create Custom Field dialog box

Using  an "Add New Field Name" dialog box  I create a new Custom Field for the Shot. I give this custom field a name
"Shot_Version".

I choose it to be a Query (by selecting a radio button on a left side of the Add New Field Name" dialog box.

I choose  "Version" as an Entity type (the Version will be an entity to which this Custom Field will be linked to).

Then in Query section of the dialog box under "Show Version which match all of the following conditions:"

I choose Link   Is   Current Shot.

Then I choose to display the Single Version only. And under "Show the first Version sorted by" I choose: Data Created and Descending.

Lastly under the "Display this Version Field" I choose "Version Name".

Here is a link to the image of this  "Add New Field Name" dialog box:

The result is that now this custom field I've just created for the Shot queries all the Versions which are linked to this Shot. But since I chose to display a Single Version only the field displays the clickable link to the latest version. That is very cool.

Now in Shot Properties window I can create a New Tab. I can name this tab and I can set up the filtering option very similar to those found in "Add New Field Name" dialog box. But unfortunately I can't find the way to display a Single Entity only..... like the single latest Version for example.

While creating the New Tab for the Shot  I do customize using Filter what I want to be displayed in this Tab. But how can I limit the display list of the entities to the single latest one? Here is the screenshot of Create New Tab Filtering options. There is no Display Single entity option available. Please confirm it is not possible with the tabs.

    Hey Pavel,

Correct, as you've noticed, there are some features in the Single Record Query Field that does not apply to normal page/tab queries in the record detail pages. If you've already created the custom Query field on that Shot, you could reveal that Query field via one of the field widgets above or by adding a "Fields" tab and inserting the field there.

Perhaps though you're still interested in getting to that single or 'latest' version in a Grid view. Take a look at this forum post here to see if that feature request could accommodate your needs:
