We have been uploading JPG's for matte paintings previews as versions for different assets and they are showing up very dark in some cases and often shifted green. The only way to see the actual file is to download the file that was uploaded. Any idea why this may be occurring?

Sorry for the trouble. There is some compression that occurs during the transcoding process, however there aren't any color correcting operations being performed. At the bottom of the article linked below, in the section labeled "DIY Transcoding" you can see the compression operations we perform (and instructions to do your own transcoding if you prefer).
