Is there a way to delay notification emails for tasks while I update dates within the "Schedule" tab? There are times when I take a broad look at the schedule where I will play around with tasks and dates to find the best fit, and would like to avoid spamming my artists with emails everytime I make a change. It would be nice if I could make my changes and once I'm happy with them, I can "publish" them. Is that possible?

Currently there is a way to do so, though I'd classify it as more of a hack than an official delay feature. In the Site Preference, Email Layouts and User Defaults, Tasks section is a field where you can specify which fields on the Task entity will generate emails. You basically temporarily remove the date fields from that list and then save the changes. Then once you're ready for notifications to go out again, you add them back to the list.
I can certainly see how this would useful as an official feature so you can evaluate your scheduling scenarios, then send out notifications when the schedule is confirmed. If you like I can add this to our Feature Request forum so the Shotgun community can vote and add their requirements.
