Right now there is a list of note types I can choose from but I need to create a new type that does not exist. How can do this?

Tommy Hi Cindy. You can customize the options in the Type field. Just go to a Notes page and make sure it's in List view. Right-click on the column header for the 'Type' column, and choose 'Configure Field.' (Note: you may need Admin permissions to do this.)
In the Configure Field dialog, you'll be able to add to, edit or remove the options for that field.
