Job Description
Maintenance of the tech infrastructure. This includes: authentication, messaging and DCHP/DNS.
Assist the Head of Technology with administrative & purchasing tasks.
Help with planning for short and long term infrastructure projects.
Work with vendors to resolve technical issues.
Rebuild, maintain and manage the backup systems.
Maintain and manage the network infrastructure; switches & firewalls.
Maintain renderfarm machines onsite.
Experience required
Experience with workstation and server hardware.
Comfortable conducting research into hardware and software issues as required.
A good knowledge of Linux OS.
Understanding of a (mixed) networked environment.
Coding knowledge (c++, Java, c#, python) is a plus
Experience with LDAP /Active Directory is a plus.
Scripting (bash/ perl /Python) is a plus.
Familiarity with OSX and Windows would is plus.
Comfortable juggling and shifting priorities to work within our team environment.
A desire to explore technology and new approaches.
Experience working with high capacity storage systems.
2+ years in a VFX/Animation facility.
