Job: Junior Pipeline Developer - IMS Team

Reports To: IMS Manager

Double Negative’s IMS department supports management and production tools. From Show delivery tools to HR to Accounting solutions. We are currently polishing our existing processes and solutions to match the exciting changes to our growing Business. 

Junior team members contribute to the wider team by tackling clearly defined development and support tasks with the support of Tech Lead and Senior Programmers.

Needs to Do:
Fix bugs and support end-users – both production and operation divisions.
Code changes to and adapt existing tools from a brief.
Produce technical and user documentation for the tools that the team supports and/or develops.
Communicate development progress to the Tech Lead and/or Project Manager.
Support Mid and Senior Programmers by assisting with the development of our supported tools.
Develop, maintain, and debug all supported tools and integrate into DNeg’s workflow.
Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review. 

Needs to Know:
1+ years of hands-on Software Development experience.
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Demonstrable knowledge of Python and/or Java.
Previous experience supporting CRM/CMS/ERP systems is advantageous.
Knowledge of SDLC and/or Agile methodology.
Experience with relevant application APIs is advantageous.
Previous experience working within support / triage teams.
Experience of Linux operating system.
Familiarity with version control (preferably, with Git).
Knowledge of implementing relational schema in a Postgres and/or MySQL environment.
