Map marker note in Hiero to field in Shotgun

I'm in the first few days with SPT up and running. Trying to populate the shots of a project in Shotgun with Hiero. Shot names and cut length come in fine. The Director made a ton of notes on the timeline in editorial. Can I map those notes to a Shotgun field? I see the notes in Hiero attached to markers. I can map Hiero markers to shotgun status but the attached notes are missing.

    Hi Cedar,

Currently you can't bring those notes in, but adding that functionality is on our short list for the Hiero publish.  When you say markers, do you mean that he used tags?  It would be great to know how the notes were entered, so when we do push that info into Shotgun we're grabbing it from the right spot.  Could you send on which tags he used, if there was any special field on the tag (other than the Note area) where info was being kept, and if the tags were on a track item as a whole or on specific frames.

Thanks for the info and we hope we'll add this functionality soon!

    Hey Rob,

    Thanks for the reply,

I was referring markers in FCP or Premiere That are then mapped to tags in Hiero. The FCP markers are all frame specific and attached to the timeline or the clip. In our instance the director is cutting up an animatic and and making specific animation notes on top of that. I would expect this to be common as most directors know some editing but might not be comfortable with other review \ note tools. Especially in small to medium shops.

    I've attached a sample xml

    Cedar, thanks for the sample!
I've attached it to our internal dev ticket for this feature to be sure that we'll cover this workflow when we start pulling in notes.
