Ideal Shotgun setup

Hi,

I have a client that wants me to setup a studio with Shotgun. What is the optimal network setup for Shotgun maximum availability. Seems to me because Shotgun is essentially a database, a SAN solution would be called for, but will a well behaved NAS work  just as well in a small to medium company? Perhaps 20-30 Shotgun clients?

Any help would be appreciated

    Hello Steven!

Sincere apologies for not getting back to you in a timely fashion! This ticket fell between the cracks in our tracking system.

Before going into too much detail, perhaps it's just worth asking if this is still an issue? Did you already get the answers you needed or are you looking for specs and info still? Shotgun is a cloud based tracking system, so if you have a good, low latency Internet connection, that's useful. The toolkit integration is installed on disk, normally in a shared location (like a NAS) and we have people running of NAS with NFS/CIFS and other setups.

Let me know if you need more info and I'll make sure to loop in the appropriate tech people on our end.
