Audio layer across multiple image sources

Hi,

I can see from the docs that audio is added as a layer for one source. We would like to add one audio source for multiple images sources. Is there a direct way to do that?

In a .rv text file, we've tried to add the same audio layer for each image source, and changing audioOffset at each time. This seems to work, but I just wanted to check if there wasn't a better way to handle this. Because we fear that RV may load the audio file multiple times instead of once.

Thanks!

    For posterity:

You can create a stack where one layer of your stack is the sequence of your sources and the second layer is the shared audio clip for all of your sources.

    Thanks,

    Hey Pierre,

Yes you are doing this the correct way for RV. You can cut in and out of the same audio clip for each source in RV (with offsets). We know that it would be more convenient in some cases to have a single soundtrack that plays across multiple sources and it is on our roadmap to add this feature.

I second this feature request. Ideally the audio could be layered across an arbitrary number of sources (not simply the entire sequence or a single source).

    Andrew,

OK, thanks for the comment. This is on our roadmap, I'll see if we can move it up to happen sooner.

    Cheers,

    Seth
