script editor in RV?

Hi,

is there any kind of script editor in RV? would be nice to able to try out short code snippets on the fly in RV to test them out.

    and similarly, is it possible to echo all command in the console? would be nice if you're new to mu to see what's going on when you hit any menu item

    Hey Bernie,

    We don't have a script editor in RV although we have talked about it. With RV 3.10 we have just started distributing a Mu interpreter that you can just run on the command line. It's called 'mu-interp'

    You can run this and type in code, but more likely you would write a short mu script and execute it.

    Yeah, another good idea that we have not implemented yet. So no, there is not a way to do this now.

    However, you can look or grep through all of the existing source code in Mu. I often figure things out this way. I will look at a menu item and then grep for that name in the RV mu source code.

    Also, we have a brand new document browser for Mu. You can start this under the help menu "Mu API document Browser" This is a big step in improving Mu documentation.
