Hi, i'm wondering if anyone ever tried using RV with the Promise Pegasus thunderbolt drive/RAID ( now sold in apple store ) ? How is the performance ? any good or bad things about this drive ? Is if fast enough to support RV/nuke? Pls share the experience here, Thanx .

Thunderbolt is going to be a great! I can't wait to get a drive to test here.
RV's IO scales well with hardware and we have lots of ways to tune the IO/Playback to account for different hardware characteristics. Even the smallest of the Promise Pegasus RAID's is rated at a theoretical 500MB/sec reads. I haven't seen any definitive test reports but the ones I've seen range from ~330 MB/Sec to 400+ MB/Sec sustained reads. 2K full aperture DPX (10 bit RGB) requires about 300 MB/sec.
So yes, the Pegasus RAID should be very good for RV/Nuke.
