mio_ffmpeg & prores_lgpl

Hi There,

 

Was wondering, if I follow the instructions for installing mio_ffmpeg will a 'prores_lgpl' file work in RV.

 

Also, with regards to licensing, I have QuickTime Pro, is this what is meant by licensing?

  Hi Iskander,

  We are not licensed to make use of patented codecs like ProRes or DNxHD. If you have production requirements for such codecs we would like to keep track of these needs. Please open a private ticket with us to discuss further:

  Hi Jon,

   

  Thank you for getting back to me. Great thank you. Yes a lot of the plates I have been sent use the proRes format, so I have been converting them for use within RV. I will send over a ticket soon, just need to get on top of a few jobs :)
