Is there a way to stop RV from holding onto frames. When we render a seq that is open in RV we can not right over the first frame, No matter what frame RV is sitting on.
Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
RV shouldn't be holding on to frames (event the one it's 'on'). Is this on Windows ? We had a problem with memory-mapped IO not properly releasing file handles, but that was fixed in RV 3.8.7 and later. What version of RV are you using ?
Thanks,
Alan
AH interesting we are using RV 3.8.6. I am just about to get every one to go to 3.10.4.
I will give it a test.
Thanks for the quick response.
Hi Alan I have only just moved over to Version 3.10.8 and this problem still appears to be happening.
We are using deadline to do our rendering. If RV has the file open deadline will just keep erroring trying to write over frame 1 until we close RV
Hey Matt, there are some fixes in RV 3.10.9 due out very very soon that might further address this. Sorry for the hassle. It's kind of a subtle problem that is related to Windows. Hopefully it will be fixed for good with this version.
Thanks Seth
