Summary of Time Logged

Hi,

Is it possible to view a summary of time logged per artist weekly?

I want to know who has been working on how many days out of the budgeted days and how many days are remaining, and report it to Production Manager once a week.

The only way I can think of now is export the time logs per artist as csv file and sum total of the days in Excel and put the total number in another spreadsheet to report.

I'd like to avoid to have another spreadsheet, the more separate sheets, the more complicated the management will be.  It would be great if we could get a summary in Shotgun.

Thanks.

    Hi Natsuko,

Thanks for your question! You can build a report page like this within Shotgun, without a need to export. See the screenshot below. This is a Time Log page in my Project with some advanced grouping applied. First by the date created (by week), then by Person. I've also turned on column summaries for the Duration field, so I can see all the sums per group (first by person, then the rollup for the full week). I've also brought through the Link > Task > Time Logged Over/Under field so I can see how much I'm over/under compared to the Bid on the Task. Let me know if that gets you the sort of report you needed!

I have another question related to this topic.  In the Time Logs, I found some cells in the Time Logged - Over/Under Bid column have wrong numbers.  (See highlightened.)

Why there is only 0.7 days left if someone logged only 0.13 days out of 0.25 days?  There should be 0.12 days remaining.

    What are the possible issues?

    Hi Natsuko,

It looks like there may be a rounding error happening on the linked fields being displayed on the Time Log page. Please submit a support request to support@shotgunsoftware.com with a link to the page in your screenshot and we can investigate further.
