I often hit the limitation that the tools in shotgun do not provide freedom to design a page or evaluate data., which often ends up in a google spread sheet or a custom written tool that presents the data from shotgun the way we want.
So back in the day when we did the research on content management tools like shotgun we also looked at a tool called tactic, and this software had a very nice solution for that issue.
They actually simply add an HTML editor to the page design with the possibility to use java script and python to access the database and do stuff on the page.
I don't know if that is possible with shotgun giving us such a tool but i really would very much appreciate such an advanced page design tool.
