Linking users to specific layouts of a page

I have come across a feature need that I am wondering if I anyone else might find useful.

As you may know, I am able to populate homepages for a user. So whenever this user logs in, or clicks the shotgun logo, she is directed to a page of my choice.

In my case I have one page that contains multiple layout. Clicking on each of these views will give me an addition to the url which leads me directly to that view (this is the ?layout=layout_1 addition to the url)

 

I would like to be able to direct users to specific urls instead of using the page token in Shotgun. Hoping to find others that might find this useful.

  Another way would be to have a page token per layout e g:

   

  Page 1 - Layout 1

  Page 1 - Layout 2

  Hi Noel,

  This request hasn't been prioritized, unfortunately. Currently the only way to achieve this would be to save the page with the prefered tab selected so that it defaults to that when a user visits it. However if you have multiple different users whose Home Page you'd like to be different tabs on that same page, it would not work in that case.

  Yes, the need comes from option 2, I need multiple users to come in and check the same page for tasks.
