We've got a lot of weird design issues with the new design that came with Shotgun 8.
Buttons where the test is the same color as the button background (example: editing the message on a ticket in dark mode), distorted custom icons, urls unreadable in dark mode (blue on dark grey), list views have no visual distinction between the headers and the entires, etc..
Is there any option to use the old style until the new ones are polished? It feels more like a step backwards right now.
Unfortunately, we can't revert you back to the old look; however, we plan to address issues you've mentioned here as a priority. In fact, Jack posted a summary here on Shotgun-Dev of known issues we plan to address if you'd like to check it out further. Here's some detail about the issues you've reported:
- Fix for custom Status Icons having the incorrect aspect ratio is planned to be fixed in 8.0.1.0 [SG-9899].
- Styling improvements to Note Threads (the editing messages) is planned to also be fixed in 8.0.1.0 [SG-9633].
- Some buttons did not display correctly with the dark theme enabled is also planned to be fixed in 8.0.1.0.
- List views have no visual distinction between the headers and the entires is on our radar to polish, but we don't yet have it pinned to a release [SG-9603].
