Annotations not saving in RV Screening Room

Hi there,

One of our Artists is experiencing issues in RV Screening Room. When he creates an annotation, it looks fine when the annotation is complete, but when it comes time to submit the note and annotation to shotgun, the annotation gets lost. Only the written portion remains. (the written portion was not written as a text annotation)

That said, when the same artist created an annotation on Shotgun (webbrowser,) it saves it just fine.

We are using version 7.2.1.
We tried to clear cookies and reload, and re-establish a connection to shotgun, but nothing has helped.

We are using all the default settings under the Annotation configure window.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Fredrick

    Hi Fredrick,

    Thank you for posting!

Would you mind giving us a bit more information?

    - Does the artist get anything in RV -> Window -> Console when they try to upload annotations to Shotgun?
    - Are there any differences in the workflow between this artist and another one that isn't getting this problem?

As a side note, please remember that forums are public, so if there's any information that you would like to share with us privately, please create a new support ticket here: https://support.shotgunsoftware.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,

Sadly, the Console doesn't show us any information when we try to submit a note with an annotation. I had the Console open and had the "Show On Any Output" set.

Our colleague works the same as us, so I'm not sure what could have caused this. I thought maybe there was a setting I could have checked to see if a simple check somewhere would have fixed this issue.

Also, without any input from the console, there's not a lot more we can do to solve this is there?

Currently, I don't have anything sensitive to speak about so keeping this public is fine too. I thought maybe someone else had also experienced a similar issue and may have chimed in.

    Thanks<

    Fred
