i created a custom Task page which also has a "assigned to" field. This field i would like to auto assign to a specific person as a default, so if someone creates a task that person gets the notification. i couldn't find a way in the task creation form dialog to set a default. is there a different way to achieve this?

There's one way to do this, currently. If you create and save a filter on the page that has the condition: "Assigned To" is "User_Name_Here", whenever you launch the creation form on that page, it will auto-populate that user in the "Assigned To" field. You can use this trick for other fields as well. Let me know how that works for you!

thank you for the tip. i didn't work but maybe i did something wrong here. i create a filter which checks if the "assigned to" is my user name. than i create new tasks via the creation dialog but the field wasn't auto filled. i tried with the filter being active as well as inactive with the same result.

Is your filter a Saved Filter like in my screenshot here? When it looks like this, clicking the +Task button on the page auto-populates the Assigned To to my user.
