black slugs between loops or shots in a sequence

When endlessly looping a shot, it would be really nice to have a feature that just slugs in x # frames of black between the loops. Either when looping from a seq or looping from within a sequence. If a shot is a talking head, having the slug will really define the shot and not make the one wonder 'what was that bump?' when it loops back to 1.
