As I assign each artist a shot to work on, I would like to be able to calculate the total hours that they worked on the shot, I know that you can have a start and end date which calculates the amount of days the shot is being worked on. In theory, the Artist would clock in and clock out while they were working on the shot each day until it was finnished.

We have a field on Task called "Time Logged" which allows Artists to log their time as they work on a Shot. They can add time in hours or days and Shotgun will calculate the total based on the default duration display set in the Site Preferences > Scheduling section.
